Application screenupdating in vba excel frink computer dating
So from my viewpoint Screen Updating is not working correctly. This is an issue because when activating some sheets, I am doing things in the background that have been "Hidden" to this point but with screenupdating all ways "on" the user will see everything. You will have to test this and loet me know if any errors occur and the line they occur on.Good Morning Thanks for the quick response Re your comments Sensitivity issues precluded me attaching the relevant workbook and a mock up would not necessarilly be reflective of the complexity. When the user selects the sheet (Using a Radio Button) a procedure is run that selects the sheet and activates it. Screen Updating = False, then some code runs which sets up the sheet and activates it. Now after some investigating I realized that Excel was not done activating the sheet so if I wait long enough the sheet might display.
I have attempted to edit your code but I cannot test it.So I just stopped using screenupdating = false with worksheet events.Like you me too don't know the solution for this Please post a sample workbook with all the code; no pictures please.I have searched the forum and tried everything to resolve this issue. Select as I heard this can set Screen Updating to True.
I have a command button on Userform1 that calls the procedure below. I have placed the Screen Updating command all throughout (Overkill Im sure) and debugged it and the immediate window always shows it set to False. The procedure calls a function "Is Numeric" and I have put the Screen Updating False at the beginning and True at the end of the function. I'm seeing a lot of posts about issues with Excel 2013 repainting the screen after running a macro but I have not seen a clear resolution to what I have been experiencing.
