Harmony guitar serial number dating

If you're a seller, the value is the minimum amount you accept to sell it.. You can check ebay for completed sales for the same model, but value on ebay is not value in a shop or elsewhere, for reasons.

Outside of a completed transaction, value has no meaning, so please do not ask me to value your guitar. Harmony instruments were produced on an industrial scale.

Special thanks to Hal Loflin for pointing me towards some great information. I took the back off to fix a few items when I got it so I took a few pictures of the interior. There was glue from a previous poor repair over the letter(s).

- I have a Harmony Rocket that is labeled as a H56. All pictures that we have seen have identified it as a H54.

Its very weird and I'm wondering if there was ever any rumors of misprints in the serial numbers. - Yes, it's definitely not rare to see "misprints" serial stamps inside Harmony guitars, between similar models.

The larger one is the serial number, and the part after the "H" letter is the model number.

For example, on the photo below this guitar is without doubt a H22 (You can type a model number, with the H, on the search box on top of this page).
