Validating a textbox
The capx I shared above demonstrates this as described. The text above the text box will change depending upon whether the email is valid or not.Given a form with two textboxes (as a simple example of the issue) When the first textbox has a class of 'required' And the second textbox's value has been set programmatically Then validation on the first textbox should happen BUT IT DOES NOT! Follow the instructions at the bottom to manually reproduce the issue.Create a static public method and call it Set Validation. Data assembly which gets or sets a value that indicates whether to raise the error attached event on the bound object. Here we have a Custom Validation class that has one property ("Show Error Message") and one public methods ("Validation Error").This method receives an instance of a Frame Work Element and a string value, and returns nothing: Custom Validation is the class we defined earlier. "Validation Error" is our source binding object and what we want to be able to do in the future is to bind our framework Element, which is a Text Box, to Validation Error.Using this feature, it is possible to nicely display an error message and highlight the Text Box that has bad value.
For example, the Text Boxes may be intended to take only numeric data and not Text strings. Private Sub Text Box1_Change() Only Numbers End Sub Private Sub Text Box2_Change() Only Numbers End Sub Private Sub Text Box3_Change() Only Numbers End Sub Private Sub Only Numbers() If Type Name(Me. Use an "else" statement beneath this condition for your invalid email actions.
